Teacher and engineering student working on paper plans

A summary

Challenges

To create and maintain a sustainable pipeline of highly skilled workers in an economically deprived area with poor educational attainment.
To become less reliant on external training providers to help employees attain new qualifications.
To offer best-in-class training starting from a point where they had no in-house educational knowledge or experience.

Our solution

Our specialist technical consultants worked with Swiftool to design, develop and deliver robust apprenticeships that would address their immediate and future skills needs.
We shared insights into the way young people learn today, to ensure that these apprenticeships would appeal to the next generation of engineering talent.
We guided Swiftool through the process of becoming an EAL centre, so that they could offer our relevant qualifications. This included support from planning to application, help selecting apprenticeship standards that they had the capacity to deliver, and support with meeting quality standards required.

The result

Become an EAL centre
