HETA is a leading engineering training provider in the Yorkshire and Humber region that looks to bridge the gap between industry and education for local engineers and employers. It places 200 people a year into highly skilled, well-paid engineering jobs with renowned companies, while providing commercial training to an additional 1,500 existing engineers.

As the specialist engineering and manufacturing Awarding Organisation and End-Point Assessment Organisation first established in 1992, we are trusted by engineers and employers helping them to attract apprentices.
We worked to make onboarding as simple as possible for HETA allowing them to focus on the quality of their training.
The result
- Thanks in part to the highly regarded qualifications they deliver in partnership with EAL, HETA currently receives more than 850 apprenticeship applications annually, more than four times their quota.
- Providing a seamless and well-supported awarding solution has allowed HETA to focus on initiatives that will benefit their training offer. These include a new £6m facility in Grimsby and a relationship with Sheffield Hallam University that helps learners advance their qualifications up to Levels 4 and 5.
